1. AROBS AlertBox – Satellite-Enabled Critical Alerting and Monitoring System

 

AlertBox is a satellite-enabled alerting and communication system developed in collaboration with ESA (European Space Agency). It ensures uninterrupted critical notifications in remote, high-risk, or infrastructure-limited environments. Integrated with IoT sensors, it supports environmental monitoring, natural hazard prevention, and industrial safety by providing reliable communication when terrestrial networks fail.

 

2. AROBS Environmental Monitoring System – Real-Time IoT Environmental & Industrial Data Platform.

 

AEMS is a modular IoT system that measures environmental and industrial parameters such as air quality, particulate matter, VOCs, UV radiation, temperature, humidity, and pressure. It combines sensor networks, edge devices, industrial displays, and cloud analytics to deliver real-time visibility, automated alerts, and data-driven decision insights.

 


3. Model Context Protocol (MCP) – AI Governance, Traceability & Compliance Framework

 

MCP is an AI governance and compliance framework that ensures AI systems are safe, traceable, and audit-ready. Built for regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automotive, life sciences), MCP removes compliance bottlenecks through automated documentation, structured traceability, and continuous audit readiness aligned with the EU AI Act and similar standards.

DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE EDIH – MANUFACTURING & SMART HEALTH for better business, life and health in the North East Romania region (EDIH-DIZ)

EDIH-DIZ is designed to accelerate the degree of innovation and digital transformation of SMEs and public institutions, including hospitals. Through this project, DIZ provides organizations with structured access to a full suite of digitalisation&innovation services: detailed needs analysis, test-before-invest support, guided digital skills development, and assistance in identifying suitable funding sources. Beneficiaries gain access to testing facilities covering AI, IoT, Cloud, Digital Twin, VR/AR, 5G, blockchain, cybersecurity, additive manufacturing and other advanced technologies. ALPHA LASER is a leading manufacturer of high-precision lasers for the metalwork industry. SMARTELETER-Green Mobile Services for Energy Systems in the Smart City

SMARTELTER provides innovative energy solutions through modular containerized platforms, each mounted on trailers for easy transport and rapid deployment. Designed for smart city applications, these platforms ensure flexible supply of electrical and thermal energy, managed by an intelligent control system. The project includes the development of four mobile platforms equipped with lithium-ion batteries, with capacities ranging from 50 kWh to 500 kWh, integrating auxiliary systems for charging electric vehicles and supporting sustainable urban infrastructures.

Bluana Foods

The development, adoption, and enhancement of research and innovation capabilities in advanced technologies

Bluana Foods flagship project is aimed at revolutionizing the seafood industry. At the core of this initiative is Bluana’s patented High Moisture, High Nutrient Injection (HMHNI) technology, designed to develop and scale shelf-stable, nutritionally rich plant-based sashimi and other seafood alternatives. This innovation bridges the gap between sustainability and nutrition by offering high-quality, plant-based seafood options without compromising on taste or shelf life.The project’s goals include scaling production from laboratory to commercial level, optimizing proprietary food technology processes, and expanding global market reach across Europe, the USA, and Asia.

In the long term, Bluana Foods also aims to develop a Platform for Personalized Nutritional Solutions based on Genomic and Microbiomic Sequencing (MICRONUTRIGEN)—paving the way for next-generation, data-driven food innovation.

Bosch Group Romania

Danger detected – danger avoided: Bosch Engineering Tram Forward Assist

The Tram Forward Assist is part and core component of the Bosch Tram Assist Suite, a modular driver assistance system designed to enhance safety and efficiency in urban rail transport. The Tram Forward Assist System warns of impending head-on collisions with potential obstacles, such as other vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists and detects both signs and signals. So the solution enhance safety for fewer driver-related accidents, increase comfort and extra assistance for drivers and therefore trams will have fewer delays, breakdowns and repairs. It employs a combination of camera and radar sensors, with the option to add LiDAR, to continuously monitor the area in front of the tram. This technology can be installed as original equipment or retrofitted into existing tram fleets, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of operators.

Bosch has provided the technological backbone of the project (Digital Fuel Twin as Digital Fuel Monitoring Technology) for both Fuel and Automotive industry, has orchestrated the vehicles, driving, refuels and policy events in the tour. The Bosch team consisted of mainly 3 locations – Germany, Romania and Italy, with a high contribution from Romania in Engineering, Driving and Coordination.

CardioMedive HealthCare SRL

CardioMedive – The First Modular AI-Driven Cardiovascular Monitoring Ecosystem

CardioMedive is a patented modular cardiovascular monitoring platform that replaces multiple separate medical devices with a single reusable core unit and interchangeable medical modules. The system supports long-term ECG monitoring (patch and 3/5/12-lead Holter), blood pressure measurement, SpO₂, respiration, temperature, and remote examination — all unified through one device and one user experience.

 

Developed in Romania and protected by granted patents in the EU and US, CardioMedive enables hospitals, clinics, and telemedicine providers to deliver scalable cardiac care while reducing equipment fragmentation, operational complexity, and total cost of ownership. The platform integrates multi-sensor data, edge AI processing, and a UV-C docking station for safe, high-turnover clinical use.

 

Through its “Personal Heart Companion,” the system brings GenAI into daily cardiac care — offering personalized insights, early detection support, patient education, and continuous monitoring across the full cardiac journey from prevention to chronic disease management.

Carmistin The Food Company

Frâncești, Vâlcea Slaughterhouse

The centerpiece of our poultry division is the new production unit in Frâncești , which became fully operational in September 2024. With a processing capacity of 13,500 chickens per hour and up to 200,000 chickens per day, it now stands as the largest poultry meat processing facility in Romania.

Developed in collaboration with Marel, a global leader in advanced food processing solutions, the Frâncești facility integrates cutting-edge automated technologies for high-speed slaughtering with optimized resource usage; automated, calibrated cutting; rapid packaging (MAP, skin pack, vacuum); full digital traceability of production batches; advanced systems for energy efficiency and biosecurity.

This state-of-the-art unit represents the technological pinnacle of Romania’s poultry industry, serving both the domestic market and expanding international export channels.

Clinomic Romania SRL

Transformation of critical patient care through digitalisation and data driven decision-making with AI

The submitted project operates in the Medical and MedTech field with the specific focus on Intensive Care Units in Romanian Hospitals.

 

The main goal of the project is to transform the critical patient care in the Romanian Intensive Care Units (ICU’s) through innovative solutions and by implementing new technologies. The outcome of the project is: better care for critical patients and easier treatment care for medical staff in hospitals.

 

The project objectives that were successfully delivered in 2025, are:

1. Objective 1: Transform the Romanian ICU patient care (for the in-scope hospitals) through digitalisation and data-driven decision making with AI

2. Objective 2: Implement new technologies to prepare hospitals for:
getting compliant with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) regulations
building business cases and partnerships for clinical studies, research and monetisation

3. Objective 3: Connect hospitals within Romania and with Germany through telemedicine, and improve medical knowledge sharing between countries

4. Objective 4: Establish strategic partnerships with relevant public institutions, academic field, ONG’s and business and tech environments for scalability and contribution to the society

 

The project introduces MONA (Medical ON-site Assistent), a next-generation digital ICU platform, certified as a medical device (MDR) that uses new technologies like HL7 FHIR (a fully interoperable platform), CDR (Clinical Data Repository), AI and a certified cloud (C5) that allows storage of clinical patient data within the EU. The platform is developed by Clinomic in Germany, being personalized in Romania and implemented across multiple European countries (including Romania) to transform critical care.

 

Using new technologies, MONA brings innovation in how doctors work, easing their time, and allowing them to spend more quality time on patient care.

Eberspaecher Controls RO S.R.L.

12V Battery Management System (12V BMS)

Eberspaecher launched a battery management system (BMS) for the low-voltage range with a connection to the vehicle power grid. This makes the company one of the first in Europe to take such a product into series production. It is used in the 12 V lithium iron phosphate starter battery from an international manufacturer, and provides the necessary safety for automated driving functions up to safety integrity level ASIL C.

Its modular subsystems include fixed and multicopter UAVs for monitoring and intervention, as well as ground robots for suspect object inspection and transport. This flexible and customizable approach enhances security operations by providing rapid, reliable, and scalable technological support.

Plant-as-Sensor: The AI leap in agritech

Plant-as-Sensor transforms ordinary cameras into powerful agronomic AI tools, allowing the plant itself to become the main sensor. By combining image flows from low-cost, off-the-shelf IPTV/CCTV cameras with Enten’s AI platform and agronomic expertise, we provide farmers with real-time insights on crop stress, on water and nutrient needs and on disease or pest risks – without requiring expensive remote-sensing equipment and sensor networks.

 

Our solution was validated on more than 150 vegetable farms, generating over 3 million smart crop images and hundreds of full crop-cycle timelines. Based on this unique data infrastructure, we now move from hardware-intensive deployments to a disruptive, hardware-agnostic, camera-based model that can scale rapidly and affordably, especially for small farmers with scarce capital and no technology from remote parts of the world.

Audimex AI Copilot – The First Context-Aware Multi-Agent System for Intelligent Auditing

The Audimex AI Copilot is a next-generation intelligent assistant designed to fundamentally transform the audit lifecycle. Unlike generic AI tools, it uses sophisticated Multi-Agent Architecture, where specialized AI “workers” collaborate with each other to analyze large volumes of company data (contracts, policies, interviews, and field notes). Fully integrated into the auditor’s workspace, it can instantly answer auditor queries, edit content, prepare test results, generate audit findings, propose corrective measures, and perform deep semantic searches across thousands of documents. By combining Vector Search (RAG) with context-aware workflows, the Copilot significantly reduces the time spent on manual data processing, enabling auditors to focus on high-value analysis and risk assessment.

SIEMBIOT -  360 cybersecurity platform built for modern businesses 

The SIEMBIOT project, funded by the European Commission under the innovation funds for cyber security (DIGITAL-ECCC-2022-CYBER-03 programme), is a joint initiative between Expertware and DNSC (National Directorate of Cyber Security of Romania) combining Expertware’s advanced IT and cybersecurity expertise with the national security oversight and regulatory capabilities of DNSC.
With over €2+ million grant invested, SIEMBIOT is a cutting-edge, open, and flexible cybersecurity platform that integrates essential technologies such as SIEM, NOC, SOC, CTI, and vulnerability management. The platform aims to enhance the cyber resilience of national and regional entities by addressing existing gaps in visibility and response capabilities.
The platform’s flexible architecture supports multi-cloud environments and allows for customizable dashboards, advanced automation, and integrated threat intelligence, empowering organizations to anticipate, detect, and respond to emerging cyber threats efficiently. With SIEMBIOT, businesses gain end-to-end visibility, enhanced situational awareness, and strengthened cybersecurity posture, addressing existing gaps in monitoring and response capabilities.
The platform integrates seamlessly with multi-cloud and hybrid IT infrastructures, leveraging existing investments in commercial cybersecurity products while enabling continuous visibility, operational resilience, and strengthened national and regional cyber defenses.
Expertware contributed with its extensive experience in cybersecurity, business intelligence, business process optimization  AI, machine learning, and full-stack development while DNSC, as the public authority responsible for national cybersecurity, provided crucial guidance and regulatory compliance in line with EU standards. The National Directorate of Cyber Security functions as a specialized body of the central public administration, subordinated to the Government and under the direct coordination of the Prime Minister of Romania.

Automated and Digitalized hospital medication management to streamline the flows to the patient bedside

A virtual project of a digitalized medication management and traceability to the patient bedside through automated systems, installed by REMEDIA, that operates in a hospital in Romania, ensuring cyber security, automated storing in the hospital pharmacy, advanced inventory optimisation, automated medication distribution by modular solutions through the wards, automatic unit-dose and labelling with traceable information for each patient, by barcode reading validation of name, administration time, batch and expiry date of medication, improving the patient safety.
REMEDIA, in partnership with BD Rowa™ and TouchPoint Medical, offers configurable robotic systems for the pharmacies, hospitals and warehouses, as well as digital medication management solutions tailored to customer needs. Automated processes streamline the hospital flows within the process of delivering medication to the patient bedside by optimizing the supply, warehousing, dispensing, increasing patient access to healthcare services and reducing pressure on the national health insurance budget.

Hamilton MagHeat – The New Generation of Hotplate Magnetic Stirrers

The Hamilton MagHeat launch marked the introduction of a new generation of magnetic stirrers and the first product from the General Lab Equipment product line of Hamilton. This magnetic stirrer is designed for precise, efficient, and safe mixing in laboratory environments. Designed for both routine and demanding applications, it combines high-performance heating and stirring with an intuitive digital interface and built-in safety features. The project’s goal was to create a compact, durable, and user-centric benchtop instrument that ensures accuracy, operator safety, and long-term reliability. Its distinctive design and functionality were recognized with a German Design Award 2025, honoring its contribution to modern laboratory technology.

PSD SmartSense - The New Era of Smart

The New Era of Smart

The project focuses on the launch of the Hamilton PSD SmartSense syringe pump, a high-precision programmable syringe drive aimed for OEM liquid‐handling systems. This pump features a 30 mm stroke and supports syringe volumes from 12.5 µL to 2.5 mL.
The key value proposition is intelligent fluid handling with built-in traceability, real-time diagnostics (bubble detection, pressure monitoring), smart accessory detection (syringes, valves with EEPROM data), and an intuitive graphical user interface for fast configuration and control.
Typical target applications include pharmaceutical production, diagnostic instrumentation, environmental analysis, and food & beverage testing where any workflow where accuracy, repeatability, and data integrity matter.

HOLLAND FARMING AGRO SRL

MOUNT RESILIENCE​

The main objective is to develop sustainable solutions for maintaining and using mountain meadows to help farmers face the challenges caused by CC. The demonstrator also plans to demonstrate new ways to scan the field with an equipped drone with NDVI sensors and an HD camera. The demo will use special seeding machines for over-seeding on meadows with flat terrain or smooth slopes and with drones equipped with a seed spreading system for meadows with irregular terrain and stiff slopes. Lastly, it is also intended to spread fertilizers with a drone.

TECHconnect – the first technology transfer festival in the Central Region

TECHConnect 2025 – Technology Transfer Festival took place between 7–9 October 2025 in Brașov, Sibiu, and Târgu Mureș. The event was organized by Iceberg+ in partnership with CITT I4T, CIT IRECSON, the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, and the “G.E. Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș, with the support of a UEFISCDI grant through project PN-IV-P7-7.4-FTT-2024-0055.

 


Over the course of the three days, the festival brought together 407 participants from universities, research centers, deep-tech startups, SMEs, large companies, investors, and public institutions. The agenda featured 63 speakers, 35 sessions (including keynotes, panels, and workshops), 49 technical demonstrations, 3 exhibition sessions, and 3 entrepreneurial discovery workshops, covering fields such as health/medtech, energy, advanced manufacturing, smart city, and transversal technologies (AI, robotics). Participants joined from the Central Region, other regions of Romania, as well as EU member states.

 


Brașov hosted the main sessions on public policies, investment, technology transfer, and exhibitions, with contributions from international leaders such as Andrew Melchior, Cecilia MoSZe Tham, Aharon Dines, as well as European investors. Sibiu focused on energy and advanced manufacturing, featuring Swiss Smart Factory demonstrations and Industry 4.0/5.0 sessions. Târgu Mureș emphasized medtech & digital health and the transition from lab to market in international collaboration contexts.

 


The festival effectively validated the triple helix model through matchmaking, technology brokerage, applied sessions, and demonstrations, facilitating concrete research–industry matches in health, energy, and mobility, and strengthening regional capacities in technology transfer, intellectual property, investment, and scaling. A key outcome was the launch of the Centru Innovation Valley platform, developed together with the Centru Regional Development Agency—the first operational regional innovation collaboration framework, designed to support applied projects, thematic incubators, new research infrastructures, a regional investment fund, and future editions of TECHConnect.

 


The event benefited from extensive media coverage at national, regional, and local levels (StartUp.ro, SpotMedia, EurActiv, Transilvania Business, PulseZ, university and local press), complemented by communication partners, tech communities, and social media channels. TECHConnect 2025 demonstrated that technology transfer can become a genuine driver of regional development when relevant stakeholders collaborate coherently. The event activated resources, expertise, and impactful partnerships, creating strong foundations for long-term initiatives in the Central Region, aligned with PNCDI IV and RIS3 objectives.

Univers3D – Bringing 3D Printing Innovation to Education and Communities

Univers3D is a project developed by Imprim Center Total S.R.L that combines 3D printing with education and innovation. Through creative workshops for children aged 6–14, we teach basic information about digital design and additive manufacturing, while also offering customized 3D printed products for communities and businesses. By using eco-friendly P.L.A bioplastic from BASF, we align with sustainable practices and demonstrate how emerging technologies can generate both educational and social impact.

Enabling Safe Hydrogen Adoption with Secure Gas Sensing

The XENSIV™ TCI Integrated Thermal Conductivity Gas Sensor is a cutting-edge innovation designed to address the growing demand for accurate and reliable hydrogen detection in safety-critical applications. As the world transitions toward renewable energy and electrification, hydrogen has emerged as a key energy carrier, but its adoption requires robust safety measures to mitigate risks such as gas leaks and explosions. The XENSIV™ TCI sensor offers a highly sensitive, fast-response, and low-power solution that ensures safe and efficient operation in hydrogen-based systems, including fuel cells, battery storage, transportation and industrial applications.

Steering by wire enabled by Romanian R&D

Vehicles are set to make the transition from conventional electric power steering to steer by wire systems where there is no physical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels of the car. A steer by wire system enables packaging flexibility and a configurable user driving experience to support software defined vehicles. This transition is enabled by components and demonstrative platforms developed in Romania.

Smart Carport solution—an energy hybrid, smart EV charging facility combining solar PV, battery storage, smart sensors, and cloud management

1. What it is:
Intracom Telecom’s Smart Carport transforms a traditional carport into a smart, energy-hybrid charging station for electric vehicles (EVs)—ideal for corporate fleets, municipalities, hotels, supermarkets, hospitals, gas stations, and more.


2. How it works:
• Uses rooftop photovoltaic (PV) panels and optional battery storage.
• Operates as net metering (offsetting energy drawn from the grid) or completely off grid with local energy supply.
• Energy from PV is stored in batteries and inverted to AC to power EV chargers—even when sunlight is limited.

The system includes several robotic platforms: ProSSSy EXT1 – an outdoor mobile unit for mission planning and difficult terrains, ProSSSy Mk1 – an information and advertising point with touch-screen monitors, ProSSSy Mk2 – a mobile “health kiosk” equipped with medical devices for vital sign monitoring, and ProSSSy Ext2 – a tracked outdoor platform designed for guidance and navigation in rough environments. AI automation for accounting workflows

Linnify developed a fully customized AI automation system for a fast growing Munich based technology company operating in the European property management sector. The solution uses fine tuned large language models and a modular multi agent architecture that takes over repetitive but complex financial workflows which previously required significant human effort.

The system launched with 2 validated agents that deliver more than 90% accuracy in production environments. These agents automate financial document understanding and bank transaction processing with full traceability, reliability and compliance. The architecture is designed for continuous expansion and Linnify is currently adding new agents that increase automation depth and bring added cost efficiency for the client.

This project demonstrates Linnify’s research driven approach to building advanced AI systems that directly contribute to business development strategies and long term competitiveness. It represents a successful example of innovation created in Romania and applied in a highly regulated German market while advancing best practices in cross regional technology collaboration.

Energy efficiency implementation at Bosch Rexroth factory in Ljubljana, Slovenia

New construction, automation implementation and energy efficiency of Bosch Rexroth Factory
Green building construction, REXROTH Factory in Brnik, located in the proximity of the airport in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This factory comprises production and development buildings.
This project was entirely realized in Romania:
The Automation System is entirely designed by Lisscom.
This means that the design of the automation system, the software design as well as the hardware part, meaning the construction of the automation and electrical cabinets, were entirely realized at Lisscom headquarters in Brasov. The quality of the work was up to the required European standards and was internationally recognized by both the beneficiary and BOSCH GLOBAL ESTATE. This project was featured on the BOSCH BUILDING AUTOMATION international presentation website.
The project generated the dynamics and development of our company and involved close collaboration between all departments, involving specialized human resources such as automation engineers, IT engineers, electricians and electro technicians.
For this beneficiary, the Rexroth Factory, the Lisscom team realized and assembled 22 cabinets necessary for the management of the building systems by monitoring all the operating parameters of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning installations, for metering thermal energy (cold/heat), electricity and water used.
The control of this building is managed using over 400 sensors for heat, humidity, pressure, CO₂, and the corresponding energy meters. All HVAC equipment (hot water boiler, pump group, cooling towers, water-to-water heat pump, air-to-water heat pump, chiller, air handling unit, fan coil units, exhaust ventilation, compressed air compressors, special painting booths, lighting system) is centrally controlled from a Data Center located in the factory’s Facility Management department.
Our specialists realized, configured and implemented a server that hosts the SCADA system (Webvision 5) necessary for the management and smooth operation of the building. It was also necessary to send technical teams from Lisscom on two occasions to consult, check the equipment installed in the field, the communication elements, the equipment parameters, the calibration of sensors and the training of the personnel assigned to manage the Rexroth factory’s building management system.
Transport companies from Romania were also involved for the transportation of the automation and electrical equipment and cabinets, which required particular care on the part of the transporter, given that they could be damaged very easily due to multiple causes: transportation, unloading, transfer to the location of installation, etc.
The commissioning of the BMS system of the Rexroth factory in Brnik, Ljubljana, Slovenia, was performed remotely (cross-border) by Lisscom from its headquarters in Brasov. Support, consulting, checks, verifications, information exchange, training of system administration and service personnel are carried out through the server and management software designed by Lisscom engineers.
